# Selecting a Date for an Assignment

The first field on the Create Assignment Screen is the due date for the specific assignment. By default, it chooses today's date.

Tapping on the due date will open up a popup calendar that will allow you to change the due date for the assignment you are about to create.

We can select another date and tap "Select". This will change the due date of the assignment to the newly selected date.
