Assignment Types

Wahi offers a flexible and customizable grading system that caters to various aspects of Quranic education. Grading is based on five distinct assignment types, each corresponding to a different section and type of memorization.

The flexibility to create assignments corresponding to these assignment types allows teachers to customize grading according to their unique use cases and objective

  • New Lesson: This assignment type is for memorizing new surahs or ayaat, often referred to as “sabaq”. Grading in this category focuses on evaluating the student's ability to memorize and recite a new section of the Quran.

  • Recent Revision: This assignment type reinforces recently memorized content, often referred to as “sabqi”. Teachers assess the student's ability to retain and recite the last few pages, surahs, or ayaat they've learned.

  • Retention: Emphasizes the importance of maintaining memorization of older surahs, pages, or ayaat previously learned, equivalent to “manzil”. Students are evaluated on their ability to preserve their Quranic knowledge.

  • Test: Teachers can create specific examinations on a range of juz, surahs, pages, or ayaat. Grading for tests evaluates the student's comprehension and retention of Quranic content at predetermined checkpoints.

  • Nazirah: Designed for beginners, Nazirah assignments involve reading and recitation with a teacher. Grading focuses on the student's ability to read and pronounce Quranic text accurately.
